We Need Gun Control Gun control decreases crime. If gun control is regulated, then we will have less crime. Accessing any type of firearms makes killing easy, efficient, and impersonal which will increase crime. I haven't gone through any firearm violence, I wouldn't want anyone to go through this. In the future, I wouldn’t want my kids to go through metal detectors to get into school every day. Furthermore, Sarah Mervosh from The New York Times stated, “Gun violence in America kills more than 30,000 and injures almost 70,000 each year. The United States has the highest gun violence than other worldwide countries.” Americans die each year because the government doesn’t want to have any gun laws. In addition, Christian Britschgi from the Reason said, "It's not a leap to say that no 16-year-old should have ready access to a firearm outside the immediate supervision of an adult." Many parents have firearms in their house on plain sit and don’t have them in a good place lock. Young people get hurt and traumatized after any type of shooting. Every day kids are scared to go to school. Parents and teachers are terrified to go to stores, schools or anywhere, nowhere is safe anymore. Dylan Kraemer was in classroom 1214 in the Parkland shooting. Dylan las words knowing he might not see his mom never again said, “Mom, I love you there is a shooting at my school if anything happens I love you so much.” Lives are on the line every day. Many people say the opposite. They say mass killers often find ways to kill even without firearms. Having gun control isn’t going to make any difference, they will find a way to get a firearm, mass shooting isn’t going to stop. They think by taking their guns is taking away their second amendment Citizens have the right to want to feel safe. Having gun control keeps guns out of the hands of dangerous people. We as citizens should start taking control of what’s right for us, like by voting for a president that cares about what goes on in the world and doesn’t care just about himself. Let’s start to make a difference for the future of the kids and they don’t have to go through this or go through metal dictators to get into school because we couldn’t do anything about it.
The Bachelor (S24 E01) Airline pilot Peter Weber begins his search for love, meeting 30 accomplished women eager to catch his eye. The show starts off with all the 30 girls backgrounds, most all of them have a pretty good job such as a caregiver, nurse, attorney, and flight attendant. Chris Harrison asks Peter about Hannah Brown, which is obvious foreshadowing for Hannah’s crashing the episode later. But before we get there, we see some truly iconic limo intros. One of the women’s grandmas wrote Peter a letter which is sweet but also a little premature, right? As time goes on and the girls are in the mansion waiting to talk to Peter, a limo pulls up and miss Hannah Brown pulls up and all the 30 girls are shocked as all who are watching. Hannah Brown pulls up and gives Peter back his wings that he gave her when they first meet on Hannah season( season 15 of The Bachelorette). He assures the other woman she’s not coming back onto the show. (Little did they know) Chris Harrison comes by and drops off the first-impression rose, so now it’s on. Hannah Ann and Peter bond about being close with their families. The other women snark at Hannah Ann laughing with Peter and say, “Maybe she’s funny,” which is actually an excellent shade, but in the end, Hannah Ann gets the first impression rose. On the first group date, nine women get flight training. They have to do math, define oddly sexual plane terms, and spin on an orbit machine that simulates fake turbulence. Victoria P. is terrified of this because she has PTSD from vomiting after a teacup ride growing up. Peter comforts Victoria in the bathroom after she throws up. After this, the women then have to compete in a plane- themed obstacle course. Kelly ends up coming on top but she cheated in the obstacle course in which annoys the other women. Her prize was a private plane ride with Peter. At the end of the first group date, Kelly gets the rose which means she is saved from the second rose ceremony. Onto the one-on-one date, which goes to Madison. On this date, Peter takes Madison to his house in which her parents are renewing their vows and takes her to the ceremony. After the ceremony, they go to dinner in which they talk about their parents and love. They kiss. She gets a rose. Peter’s family comes in while they are dancing and they all start to dance. Hannah Brown returns to host the second group date. The women weren’t very happy about it. In this group date, they will have to talk about the most awarded place they have had sex. She starts it, says her story about how she had sex in a windmill with Peter and how they did it 4 times. The girl have their time to start writing their story. While that is happening, Peter goes backstage and Hannah is crying her eyes out and they start talking about how Hannah regrets sending Peter home. "I question what I should’ve done,” Hannah continues, referencing their relationship. “I question a lot.” To this, Peter asks Hannah if it ever crossed her mind to ask him out the way she did Tyler at the end of her season.“Do you regret sending me home?” Peter asks, to which Hannah says, “Yeah, I question it all the time.” They go back and forth like this for a while. “I know there’s still something there,” Hannah says. The first episode ends as Peter asks Hannah to join and come back and give it another try. In the next episode, we will know Hannah’s answer. At the end, the show gives clips on the next episode which is a lot of crying and threatening Peter, Victoria F said, I’ll leave and Hannah can stay” which can mean she might have stayed, but who knows.
Fashion Week Fashion Week is the most anticipated event in the fashion industry. What is fashion week? Fashion week is a series of designer presentations held biannually in Paris, Londen, Milan, and New York, with spring/summer and autumn/winter events held each year. Fashion week took place in Paris ( Monday, September 23-Tuesday-October 1) and New York (September 6-Saturday, September 14). Dates are determined by the French Fashion Federation for Paris and CFDA for New York. Fashion Week is held at venues throughout the cities. Fashion Week is part of the “Big 4”, which means four cities. Each of these cities is a fashion capital of the world. Fashion week happens twice a year in the major fashion capitals of the world; New York , London , Milan and Paris. Models walk the runway and show different types of styles. An example can be haute couture, which is held semiannually for the spring/summer and autumn/winter seasons. In addition, every year, famous brands like Dior, Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Givenchy, and Céline host their shows in historical places such as the Carrousel du Louvre and the Grand Palais. The first Fashion Week was held in 1945 in the Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture established another set of rules to regulate and determine Haute Couture houses. In order to meet the criteria, the house had to ensure they followed the updated rules including in each season, a couture house must present a collection of at least 35 runs with both daytime and evening wear to the Paris press. Others included having at least 20 members on staff, and that every design must include fittings and be made-to-order for the clientele. The next Fashion Week will start in New York from Feb 6- Feb 13, London will be next Feb 14- Feb18 and last will be Milan from Feb 18- Feb 24.
The Bachelor (S24 E2) Another week, another midpoint rose ceremony, another episode that ends with a woman sobbing. This week's episode opens up where Hannah was deciding whether to give it a second try or just move on and leave it in the past. Meanwhile the girls are waiting for Peter to come back to the group date. They spend a few more minutes hugging and cuddling and not quite kissing, but finally Peter has had enough. “I can’t do this,” he says. He wipes the sparkles from Hannah’s dress off his jeans and heads back to the women, who have been patiently composing their sex stories for his future amusement. Peter gathers all the ladies together and informs him that he’s canceling the date, well the daytime portion, at least. “I’m just not in the right headspace right now to have fun with you guys and enjoy this,” he says. “This is not fair to you all, at all.” But drinks later, okay? The ladies were very annoyed. Heading into the drinks, Peter tells the girls “Hannah is in the past and she gone from my life and I would like to start a new chapter with one of you ladies.” Natasha is not on board with this idea.“I want to get to know a free Peter,” she fumes. “I don’t want to get to know a chained Peter.” When she sits down with the Bachelor, Natasha lets him know she’s “really upset” about everything that’s happened, and she doesn’t think it’s fair that Peter is working out his issues “at the expense” of the other women. Moving on to Sydney, Peter and Sydney have a very personal talk. Sydney talks to Peter how she had to deal with a lot of “racial profiling” while growing up in Birmingham, Alabama. She and Peter make out for a bit, and then it’s time for Mykenna and Peter to have some one-on-one time… most of which involves making out. The rose date goes on and Sydney gets the group date rose. We’re back in the mansion and it’s time for the cocktail party, Kelsey plans her one-on-one with Peter while Kelsey plans to open a bottle of champagne she’s been saving for a special moment. She goes into the house to get Peter but Mykenna grabs and leaves with him and she got mad because Mykenna had a date with Peter and she didn’t. Once Mykenna is done with Peter she walks back in the house and Kelsey tells her “You disrespected me, and I know you don’t really care.” This leaves Kelsey very emotional, then of the girls grab her to fix her makeup before she sits with Peter. She goes outside and Peter and Hannah Ann pass by where her champagne is and they open it up. Kelsey hears it, gets up goes around the corner to check and she sees they’re drinking her bottle. She runs off to the bathroom and Peter goes after her while Hannah Ann is all confused about why she got mad. The rest of the girls tell Hannah Ann about her bottle and Hannah Ann feels bad because she didn’t know. Peter leaves and Kelsey doesn’t want to talk to him, he leaves she comes out and Hannah Ann wants to talk to her but Kelsey starts storming on her. After that all happens, she finally sits down with Peter and share a romantic toast until she drinks from the bottle and gets all wet. Chris Harrison walks in and says, “Ladies it's time for the rose ceremony.” Three of them leave and the rest of the girls celebrate a toast with Peter. The next day, is the first real group date of the week, starring Alexa, Mykenna, Natasha, Deandra, Lexi, Victoria F., Kelsey, and Hannah Ann. They meet Peter in front of Revolve, the ladies are going to get some free clothes on this date, but they’re also going to have to compete in a fashion show modeling their clothes. The winner gets over 40 shopping bags filled with Revolve clothing and accessories. The winner of this group date is Hannah Ann. Victoria F gets mad that she won, cries and wants to leave. Peter later on, talks to her and pulls her out and she wants the cameras to leave them for a bit. After they finish talking Peter takes Hannah Ann to talk when Hannh Ann tells Peter what happened with Kelsey and her and she says she felt bulled from Kelsey which then Peter goes and gets Kelsey and tells her what Hannah Ann told and Kelsey cries and tell the girls what Hannah Ann told Peter. The episode ends with Kelsey running off to the bathroom and crying tears of frustration (again). “There’s a difference between me saying not nice words to her face,” sobs Kelsey, “and constantly bullying somebody.” Next week on The Bachelor, more crying with a pillow fight competition and the return of Demi Burnett from The Bachelor and Bachelor in Paradise.
Super Size Me Schools should stop selling high fat, sodium, and sugary foods. If schools keep selling food with so much high sodium, sugar and fat, which means they “don’t care” about the students’ health. In the last few years, evidence has mounted that too much of these appealing ingredients often invisibly included in beverages, processed foods and restaurant fare, harms health. For example many schools give students sodas when they should give them water, milk or 100% orange juice or apple juice. Sugary drinks have increased obesity in the United States. A 12 ounce can of soda contains about 10 teaspoons of sugar, and the average teenager consumes about three cans a day. At Estancia High School, they have a lot of options for students to pick from. Options include a fruit salad or salad with chicken, beef or vegan burger. Bianca Ceja a senior stated, “I haven't had a bad experience with any of the food at school, sometimes I will get chips right after I am done eating, for like a snack but it is very rare.” Schools should stop giving their students high fat, sodium, and high sugar foods because it isn’t healthy for them and have the risk of getting type 2 diabetes, the potential to be diagnosed with obesity, heart disease and even certain types of cancer. At this point we should be aware of what we should be eating and everyone too.
The Bachelor (S24 E3) Right when the champagne drama was finishing, fresh drama comes up. In this episode we start with Hannah Ann and Kelsey crying with the other ladies of the house. Hannah Ann said “I would never do that to someone,” she sobs to Alexa. “Why would I steal champagne?” Alexa and the rest of the women look like they’re sick to death of hearing Kelsey and Hannah Ann whimper about their fizzy feud. “I’m sure Peter is exhausted from dealing with this thing for two days,” notes Alayah. While this is happening downstairs, Victoria F is getting ready for her one-on-one date with Peter. The Bachelor picks her up in a vintage truck. They drive through Peter’s hometown and stop at a cowboy store to pick some boots a cowboy hat for Victoria F. . Peter shows her how to line dance, they leave the shop and go to a bar to dance. While back in the house Kelsey and Hannah Ann talk by the poolside. Kelsey tell Hannah Ann, “Using unkind words to you, I apologize for that but that is not bullying.”Kelsey claims the whole thing wasn’t actually about the champagne “I don’t even like champagne!”,“You don’t know me,” says Hannah Ann. “So why call me fake?” Kelsey and Hannah Ann go back and forth and Kelsey just leaves and walks away because they aren't getting anywhere. Kelsey and Peter have dinner in an airplane hangar, Victoria F. opens up to Peter about how her life was really hard growing up without a dad and a mom becoming a drug addict after her dad died. Kelsey said,“My dad passed away when I was really young, and after that, my mom… kinda fell into addiction, we were in and out of shelters growing up.” Victoria’s story is pretty upsetting, with her mother struggling and her dad gone, she had to be a caretaker for her little sister at a very young age. “I would literally, like, peel a potato and cut it in half and put salt and pepper on it, I'd make sure my sister was, like, taken care of.” Peter then said, “You deserve it all, this shows me what kind of person you are.” Peter goes ahead and gave Victoria P. the date rose. Back in the mansion Sydney thinks that Alayah is being fake and isn’t here for Peter. Sydney says, “With Alayah, I can tell something’s off about that girl, she is just all fake.” Early next morning, all of the women on the group date Kiarra, Sarah, Tammy, Kelley, Shiann, Savannah, Sydney, and Alayah get a literal rude awakening. That muscular woman in the tube socks and tank top is there on behalf of former Bachelor and Bachelor in Paradise contestant Demi Burnett. “Wake up you maggots! Rise and shine!” bellows Demi, who then orders. The women downstairs for their group date instructions. Demi leaves some pj’s that the girls going to the date have to wear. On the date, the girls had a pillow fight. The winner would be crowned, now in the house Alayah and Sydney don’t get along and in the pillow fight they go against each other and Alayah wins and Sydney is mad because she thinks she doesn’t deserve it. During the cocktail party Sydney confronts Alayah and says, “You sound so rehearsed,” Sydney continues, “and so, like,on… But if you come in here worrying about how you’re perceived, then you’re not going to be your real self to Peter. And, like, that’s what he’s here to find, like a real person.” Alayah didn’t care what Sydeny said, she just rolled her eyes and didn’t say anything to her. Sydney then talked to Peter and tell her about Alayah, “When the cameras show up and the lights are on, and there’s that time for some camera time, like, it’s like a whole different person… I just, like, don’t want you to get blinded by that.” This sent Peter into questioning if she here for the right thing. When Peter got back to the ladies, and tells them “ If you aren’t real with me and you’re a different person when you’re off camera, then you aren’t here for the same thing as I am.” At the end of the group date Sydney gets the rose for being so real with Peter. The next day, Chris Harrison arrives and adds to the tension by informing the women that Peter will be coming over to hang with them at the pool and after that, they’ll go straight to a rose ceremony. Peter arrive say, “ I’m not really feeling my best, I unfortunately, I guess, kinda feel a little bit of doubt creeping in with all this.” Before the party commences, Peter pulled Sydney aside. The Bachelor apologizes to her for putting her on the spot on the group date, and she forgives him. Peter grabs ladies one by one and ask them about Alayah. Kelsey told him “while Alayah is a “great” person, she also “acts a certain way when the camera’s on.” Natasha informs Peter that “Sydney was not wrong” about Alayah, while Lexi notes that, “Alayah is one of those people who “kind of turn it on a little bit for the cameras.” When Alayah tried to hash things out with Sydney a second time, it does not go well. They went back and forth and don’t get to a point. Peter is now worry of all the things the girls have said about Alayah and leaves and most of the ladies are worried because half of them haven’t had time to talk to him and they could be sent home. When the rose ceremony came and starts calling out names. He came to his two roses and his breaking point. Should he give Alayah a rose or should he listen to his gut. Rather than make a decision on his own, he leaves the room to consult with Chris Harrison.Peter returns to the Rose Room… followed by Harrison, who snatches one of the remaining roses from the table. “There’s been a little bit of a change tonight,” he announces. “This is now the final rose tonight.” And it goes to… Mykenna! Alayah left and the girls were happy because the drama was leaving but little did they know. In the next episode, the girls leave to Cleveland, Ohio. Kelsey and Victoria F. get the one-on-one date and Alayah comes back.

The Bachelor (rumble in the jungle)
The ladies and Peter head to Costa Rica. Tempers flare and accusations of "pill-popping" fly. The Bachelor gets in a fight with a golf cart (and loses). Another week and more beef. Tonight's episode of The Bachelor wrapped up one battle (everyone vs. Alayah) only to introduce another drama, Kelsey vs. Tammy vs. Sydney. The ladies at the pre-rose ceremony cocktail party, where they are all talking about Alayah, but at least it is to her face. “I don’t think she’s here for a relationship with Peter,” notes Lexi. Sydney, meanwhile, is even blunter. “I wish you’d be honest with everyone here, be honest with Peter, and leave!”Alayah does leave… but only because Peter pulls her aside and asks her to go. “I think that, just with everything that’s happened, that this is like a little too much,” he says sadly. “It’s probably time to say goodbye.” Peter walks her out and leaves. After pacing around for a bit outside, Peter returns to the ladies and gives another “Sorry, I’m not perfect” speech. “I just want you all to know that I value you all so much,” he says. “I hear you, I trust you, and hopefully you still want to be here.” With that, he finally starts up the requisite one-on-one chats. The last girl talks to him and Chris Harrison walks and says, “It rose ceremony time ladies.” Savannah, Kiarra and Deandra do not get a rose and they go home. We are off to Costa Rica! The ladies will be staying in The Springs Resort & Spa. Peter comes in a helicopter and….. has brought something unexpected with him, a wound in his forehead. Peter tells a ridiculous story about how he was injured while facing off a “puma” in the Costa Rican jungle. The women pretend to believe him. The truth involves a golf cart and a glass. Team Bachelor shows us the actual security-cam footage of Peter’s accident. “I frickin’ stabbed myself in the head, I have 22 stitches” says the Bachelor. After that happens, he picks Sydney for the first one-on-one date of the week and they soar away in the helicopter. This makes all of the other ladies sad, especially Kelsey. “I didn’t expect it to be this hard,” she says through her tears. Sydney and Peter, meanwhile, tour the gorgeous Costa Rican jungle from the helicopter and then alight in a field for a picnic. They talk about travel and their family backgrounds for a bit before they inevitably begin smooching. It’s all very romantic. At dinner, Sydney fills Peter in with her parents split when she was a toddler, Her single mother struggled financially and she remains estranged from her dad to this day and the challenge of being a mixed-race teen in Alabama. “Girls would call me, like, Oreo Girl… they would vandalize our home and write, like, awful things on our pavement,” she says, her voice quavering. “I ate my lunch, like, literally in a bathroom stall my whole senior year.” Sydney gets the date rose and then they make out some more in and around the swimming pool. Kelsey is still crying. “I’m very, very sad,” moans Kelsey. Tammy tries to comfort her. “Sad that he’s seeing other people?” she asks gently. “Yes, it’s not a very easy sight to see, but it is what we signed up for.” But Kelsey refuses to be consoled she’ll never be okay with watching Peter with other women! Her torture will never end, even though Peter has to choose one woman at the end! Kelsey is also horrified at the idea that Peter might choose Sydney. “Do you not like her?” asks Tammy. Kelsey’s answer comes in two parts. First: “I like Sydney a lot — I think she’s cool.” Second: “But, she’s a dramatic f—ing b---ch.” Tammy listens patiently and eventually escapes. “Kelsey is a hot mess!” she stated. “She’s been crying for weeks! She cried over a champagne bottle for four days. I don’t think when my grandpa died, I cried for that long.” Group date! Shiann, Kelsey, Victoria F., Madison, Natasha, Victoria P., Lexi, Hannah Ann, Tammy, and Mykenna meet Peter by a picturesque waterfall. But they are not going to enjoy a relaxing day in the water. The ladies are going to be modeling swimsuits for Cosmopolitan Magazine! “This is the big fashion feature for our March issue,” explains editor in chief Jessica Pels. Plus, the “winner” will be featured with Peter on the cover! The photoshoot goes on. Victoria F., steals a kiss from Peter during her photoshoot with him and she wins the cover for the magazine. At the post-date cocktail party, Peter and Victoria F. kick things off with some hardcore making out. Kelsey, who’s been spiraling all night, gets her time on the couch. “This is really hard for me because I’m taking it really seriously,” she tells Peter, “I am falling in love with you. I am.” The Bachelor responds, “I’m feeling it I promise,” he says. Back in the holding area, Tammy, Lexi, and Victoria F. are talking about Kelsey’s boozy crying jag from the night before, and her overall inability to cope. “She also said last night that she’s the realest here and everyone else was fake,” announces Victoria F. Tammy, who is very annoyed by this news, proceeds to inform Peter that Kelsey suffered a “mental breakdown” the night before. “I tried to talk to her. She was just sitting by herself, crying her eyes out,” says Tammy. “And I’ve seen multiple times that she’s been drinking excessively.” This gives Peter a “red flag” on Kelsey, he pulls her aside to talk to her and she immediately starts tearing up. Peter is sympathetic, but clearly still a little concerned. Kelsy goes back and demands the girls to tell her who told Peter about her breakdowns. All the ladies sit quietly while Natasha gently reminds Kelsey that the “process” is hard for all of them, especially those women who haven’t had a one-on-one date. Victoria F. adds up, “Everyone’s having a rough time, it takes a strong woman to get through this.” Kelsey does not want to hear it and says, “Just mind your own f—ing business, I don’t talk about other relationships when I’m with him.”The mood is tense when Peter arrives to hand out the date rose. Congrats, Hannah Ann. On to hour three! The second one-on-one date goes to Kelly. Peter and Kelly go with Recardo and Pia who are shamans of some sort and will help them know if they belong together. The shamans’ pendulum reveals that Peter and Kelley are not “on the same stage of life,” and Pia says the “female candle” that represents Kelley is pushing back. After, they play a “Marco Polo” game, which will help to see if Kelly can trust Peter, she does it blindfolded and she gets to Peter, they kiss. At dinner The Bachelor tells Kelly she needs to open up more to him and if she is ready to give it all for this. Kelly tells him she is ready to end up engaged with him. Kelly gets a rose. Kelsey and Tammy are sitting down to talk about the uncomfortability in the group. “Do you have a problem with me, and if so, like, what is it?” Kelsey asks her. Tammy admits to Kelesy she was the one who told Peter about her drinking problem. Kelsey’s crying again. “She’s all, I don’t have a drinking problem! “But Tammy is, as she puts it, done. She storms out after telling Kelsey to go ahead and continue to cry. The day of the rose ceremony, Kelsey gets ready and leaves to go see Peter in his room. The ladies wonder where she is going. She gets there and tells Peter the “truth” and that Tammy is a liar. Well at the end Peter gets up, grabs a rose and gives it to her. Kelsey is thrilled that she got a rose and scared that when she gets back the ladies are going to attack her. The ladies are outside talking and ready for the rose ceremony and Kelsey comes and the girls stare at her. Kelsey tells them and the ladies are all mad and want to kill her with their looks. Harrison arrives and informs the women that “we’re going straight to the rose ceremony .... Earlier today, Peter got the clarity he needs.” “I do have a question, Kelsey,” says Tammy. “Did you say anything about me in your conversation with Peter?” Kelsey answers honestly, but also starts apologizing for the cocktail party being canceled. The ladies are definitely ready to place blame. “It just kind of sucks,” says Lexi, “because it’s like maybe if you wouldn’t have gone to talk to him, we could have had a cocktail party.” Mykenna is melting down about how she had something big to tell Peter tonight and she really needed time with him. Tammy starts saying she didn’t tell Peter that she was popping pills and all the girls start flipping on Tammy and at the end it ended up with Tammy and Sydney fighting. The rose ceremony starts and Tammy interrupts Peter and tells him “Peter, I’m sorry before we begin, can I talk to you? “I would just hope that you would never think that I was coming from a malicious place,” says Tammy. “I’m here to focus on my relationship with you.”Mykenna walks out to find Peter “ if Tammy can break the non-existent rules, so can she! “I guess I’ll go next,” says Lexi sarcastically, “since this is now a cocktail party in the middle of the rose ceremony.” Peter returns and he starts. Victoria F., Madison, Natasha, Victoria P., Mykenna, and Tammy join Kelsey, Hannah Ann, Kelley, and Sydney in the safe space. Lexi and Shiann leave. The ladies will be going to Chile and of course more drama.
